Named North is a Montana firm that makes companies the named source AI systems cite.
What is Named North?
Named North is a Montana firm that makes companies the named source AI systems cite.
What does Named North do?
Named North structures a company's public facts so answer engines can retrieve, trust, and name that company. The work has three parts: a citation baseline, an answer architecture, and a citation watch.
What is answer engine optimization?
Answer engine optimization (AEO) is the practice of structuring a company's public facts so answer engines can retrieve them, trust them, and name the company in an answer.
Is AEO the same as SEO?
No. SEO tries to rank a URL in a list of links. Answer engine optimization tries to get the company named inside the answer. AEO still needs the page to be crawlable.
Is AEO the same as GEO?
Generative engine optimization (GEO) is the work of improving how a brand appears in generative answers; Named North treats it as part of answer engine optimization, not as a separate service.
How do I get my company cited by ChatGPT?
Publish one canonical sentence about the company, give each buyer question a URL that answers in the first paragraph, and make the structured data repeat those sentences. Then ask ChatGPT the buyer's questions and correct the page that failed.
Can Named North guarantee a mention in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Grok?
No. Named North does not guarantee that any answer engine will name a client, and it does not sell placements inside a model. The firm makes the public record citation-ready and then checks what the engines currently say.
Where is Named North based?
Named North is based in Montana, United States. It works with companies beyond Montana. The public site is https://namednorth.com.
How do I contact Named North?
Email hello@namednorth.com. Include the company name, the website, and the question buyers ask an answer engine.
What is a named source?
A named source is a company an answer engine mentions by name when it answers a question.
Does Named North publish llms.txt?
Yes. The file is at https://namednorth.com/llms.txt. A longer plain-text record is at https://namednorth.com/llms-full.txt. The policy is explained at https://namednorth.com/for-machines.
Who is answer engine optimization for?
Answer engine optimization is for companies whose buyers ask an answer engine who to hire, what to buy, or what a term means. It is a poor fit if the company wants purchased mentions or a guaranteed sentence inside a model.
