Named North

Glossary

Entity clarity

Entity clarity is the agreement, across pages and profiles, of who an organization is, what it does, and how it should be described.

Named North

The practical test is short. Put the homepage’s first sentence next to the about page’s first sentence. If they are not the same facts, the entity is split. If the Organization schema adds a third description, it is split again.

Answer engines resolve names. Two official bios that disagree give the system permission to guess. Guessing is how a firm gets described as a product, or how two companies with similar names get fused.

Named North publishes one sentence for itself, and repeats that sentence in the HTML, the footer, llms.txt, and the Organization schema. The policy is on For machines.
